The agreement comprises space on the third floor of the building and 20 parking spaces. Belvilla will transfer its lease agreement to ParkBee on 1 February.
ParkBee has chosen The Cloud because of the building’s high quality and sustainability standards (BREEAM Very Good and energy label A +++) and its community concept focused on social interaction. The Cloud is easily accessible by both car and public transport (Amstel station). Other tenants include Amazon, Uber, Ebay and Spaces.
ParkBee is one of the fastest growing tech companies in the Netherlands (13th on the Technology Fast 50 list) and specialises in data and technology-based mobility and parking solutions. The platform offers parking locations directly to end users through front-end links with parking applications and booking platforms.
Alexander Kimmel, Associate Director Office Agency at Savills in the Netherlands, explains: “In the current market it’s important to distinguish between office supply offered by landlords and by occupiers as part of a sublease. The vacancy rates, particularly in Amsterdam, are not increasing significantly at the moment, however the share of office space offered in subleases is rising as a result of Covid-19. This provides interesting insights into the first signs of a more dynamic office market in Amsterdam, giving occupiers the opportunity to lease high quality office space.”
Savills advised Belvilla. Spring Real Estate advised ParkBee during the transaction. The landlord of the office building Mr. T (Investments) B.V. was supported by Cairn Real Estate throughout the entire process, who are also responsible for managing the asset.
